Throughout my entire MMORPG career, I’ve found that the most impactful element to any MMORPG, at least in my honest opinion, is the thrill of possibly losing your hard-earned items at any moment. I love a MMORPG that lacks any sort of direction, you just get into it and figure things out yourself, and go whatever path you see fit, and this game has just that! Are you a lumberjack? There’s plenty of feats and prowess to be acquired from that! Do you wish to participate in Sieging? Go right ahead, there’s a few feats and prowess from that too! The game even more so, however, advocates progression through doing a variety of things, so you don’t feel obligated to strictly do one or two things that give the best “prowess rates”, you just do whatever it is you want and you’re golden. The main things that I’ve particularly enjoyed thus far is the fact that this game advocates, or attempts to advocate, progression of your character via doing what ever it is that you actually want to do. So let me just give you my opinion:Īs a person who has never played Darkfall 1, and played a lot of MMORPGs (Runescape, Oldschool Runescape, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, a little bit of TERA, Planetside 2), I find this game to be extremely refreshing and thrilling. This game truly is fantastic, it’s just that the supporters are simply too busy playing the game to actually spend time posting. I’ve been hanging around the official Darkfall forums and have heard of the monstrous behavior exhibited on these very forums the overwhelming negative feedback towards the game and complete and total lack of understanding and fairness.
